The woman would-as usual-stay home and take care of the children and the house. The Roma Americans were quite fond of Native American Culture and took on some of their morals and ways of craftmaking-though they never mixed bloods with any of the Native people. They were also very secretive and kept their culture hidden as much as possible do to the fact that even in America they were cruely treated and thought of. They would always change their names-usually to English-to avoid questions. When it comes to religion they were often Puritans. Puritanism is a MUCH stricter version of Protestant Christianity. The Roma Americans prefered living in old fasioned western countries. More famously and commonly in Texas, United States. Infact this Roma couple you see lived in Texas.

How Did the Roma Get to America

We Roma got here by force. Our ancestors were prisoners and were forced onto prison ships-by many countries-and dumped off her in North America. This was Europes attempt of getting rid of us Roma from the Continent. They were imprisoned for commiting crimes, being accused of crimes, or refusing to abandon the Roma way of life. They were tortured and whipped along the way... This was all from 1630 to 1950

The Origin of The Roma

We came from Egypt over 2000 years ago but were enslaved with the Babylonian attacked. When we finally escaped we ran to India to be safe. We were desgusted by their culture so we did not stay long. We changed our language to avoid being recognized and then became the travelers we are known for. The Egyptians and Indians have the same genetic make up. And We Roma have halogroup E1b1b which Indians do not but Native Egyptians do.
